“The Tourism Black Economic Charter was submitted to Cabinet for approval on 13 April 2005. As members of the Tourism Industry and to conform to the objectives of the Charter, we, the vineyard hotel & spa have currently undergone a self-assessment program of our current status in terms of the BEE scorecard for the 2009 Milestone. This is in preparation for our rating report by an independent BEE rating agency during the course of 2007.

The present status of our BEE scorecard for the 2009 Milestone of the Tourism Industry reflects a 57,96% score, which classifies us as a Satisfactory BEE Contributor.

We are continuously addressing the various areas that require our attention in terms of allowing us to achieve the status of Excellent BEE Contributor within the 2010 timeframe. We will keep all interested parties informed as our status changes.”
