Anthonji Rupert Wines 

For our fifth Tastes of 2019 on 16 August, we’re tremendously excited to be partnering with Anthonij Rupert Wyne. The Rupert Wines include various collections and this dinner will star wines from the prestigious Anthonij Rupert, L’Ormarins and Cape of Good Hope ranges.

Our first courses, almond-crusted kingklip or the vegetarian mature-cheddar fondue, are paired with Cape of Good Hope’s Serruria Chardonnay and Altima Sauvignon Blanc respectively. Both are from the Rupert’s isolated farm in Elandskloof, a deep and narrow valley north of Villiersdorp. The resulting cool-climate wines have a high natural acidity and upfront aromas. The dishes our chefs have created to complement these wines elevate the citrus tinges you’ll discern in both.
