    Staff wellbeing

    We prioritise the mental, physical, and emotional health of our employees through a variety of programs and services:

    Wellness Committee

    Monthly initiatives like diabetes awareness, cancer detection, GBV awareness, Wellness Days, dietician consultations, BodyShift, and more.

    Onsite Support

    An onsite nurse twice per week and a social worker once per week, offering care and counselling when needed.

    Trauma Counselling

    Available to staff for emotional support.

    Cross-Training

    If someone is interested in learning new skills in another department or role, we provide opportunities to do so.

    Personal Development

    Based on performance reviews and 360 feedback, we create tailored development plans for our staff’s specific career goals.

    Youth Development

    Every year, we award three hospitality management and three professional cookery bursaries to unemployed youth. Trainees rotate through departments and receive mentorship from staff and managers.

    Leadership Development

    We offer three leadership development programs tailored to Supervisor, Manager, and HOD levels.

    Coaching

    We provide executive and career coaching to support personal growth.

    Annual Training Budget

    Training needs are identified from performance reviews, and our budget supports both internal and external providers, bringing in experts when necessary.

    Bursaries

    Staff are offered two hospitality-related bursaries annually (chef, F&B, hospitality management) and nine WSET bursaries each year. We also assist our HR professionals in applying for SABPP certification.
