Glen Carlou Vineyards
Our third Tastes of 2019 will be the Glen Carlou dinner, on 5 July. At the pre-tasting, we discovered that the Unwooded Chardonnay and Quartz Stone Chardonnay 2018 worked beautifully to bring out different characteristics in field mushrooms AND in West Coast mussels. Another surprise was that the Pinot Noir 2018 was exquisite with both succulent pork belly AND Italian-style red peppers, aubergine and courgettes. Proof, if anyone needed it, of the consistency of Glen Carlou’s highly regarded wines. The only solution was to prepare two menus. The first is a carnivore’s delight and features seafood, pork belly and fillet; the second is perfect for vegetarians
