Over the past two centuries, The Vineyard has proudly evolved into one of the most environmentally-friendly, progressive hotels in Cape Town.
The eight-acre property is home to a diverse range of fauna and flora, and is as innovative and groundbreaking as it was when the original house was built in February 1800, merging contemporary interior styling with modern features.

Responsible and Sustainable Hoteling

Responsible and Sustainable Hoteling

As a responsible hotel, with a key focus on sustainable hospitality, we have implemented several sustainability initiatives to minimise our impact on the environment.
On the property we have 148 solar panels, harvest our greywater, and currently recycle 90% of our waste. We are also a certified member of Fair Trade Tourism and are involved in a number of organisations such the Event Greening Forum and Friends of the Liesbeek.

We endeavour to make use of sustainable and ethically produced goods when procuring and have implemented a number of initiatives to reduce our waste, water and energy usage.
