The Vineyard’s annual wine festivals, the Festival of Bubbles and Pinot Noir Festival, are set! Join us on 11 March 2018 and 22 April 2018 respectively as we kick the first of the Tastes of 2018 events. To book please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (021) 657 4500.
The 40-odd bubblies available for tasting at the Festival of Bubbles will showcase the pride of local Methode Cap Classique producers as well as some international bubbly makers. Expect to enjoy classics like Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel and Villiera Tradition Brut, cult favourites De Grendel Brut, Graham Beck Brut Rosé, Steenberg 1682 Pinot Noir, and many, many more.
Not to be outdone, the annual Pinot Festival attracts the finest Pinot Noirs from well-known wine estates including Meerlust, Newton Johnson, Hamilton Russell, Glen Carlou, Waterford Estate, Paul Cluver and the other top producers.
“These festivals are always idyllic afternoons for wine lovers, whether they be connoisseurs or enthusiasts. There is always something new to discover and enjoy,” says Roy Davies, General Manager at the hotel. “There will be live background entertainment and delicious, light canapes served. It is hardly surprising that they are so popular and tickets sell out very quickly. Our festivals are the perfect end to a summer weekend.”
Guests who wish to make a full weekend of their time at The Vineyard can enjoy the All Things Pinot Noir & Chardonnay Dinner (R545 pp) on Saturday, 21 April, the night before the Pinot Festival. This much-anticipated dinner celebrates the blend of Burgundy’s most noble cultivars and pairs the finest with exquisite food from The Vineyard’s chefs.

Our Tastes of 2018 wine-paired dinners will focus on the exciting wines of 11 independent, trail-blazing winemakers. These men and women are not swayed by fashion but by an abiding passion for their vocation and the alchemy they conjure in their cellars. In addition, we will host two dinners with our wine partners and Friends of the Vineyard, an MCC festival, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay dinner, Pinot Noir Festival and a Pretty in Pink Rose Showcase on 2 December.
